What Does #PSPfit Mean? Plus Size Princess Fitness Challenge!

I’ve seen people on social media asking what #PSPfit stands for, so I thought I’d recap what we’re doing!

As a Plus Size Princess, I’ve finally come to the understanding that I will never be rail thin, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be fit, active and healthy. The Plus Size Princess Fitness Challenge (aka, #PSPfit) is our commitment to healthy curves. What started as a 30 day challenge has transformed into a daily lifestyle for big/thick/curvy girls on instagram, twitter and soon, facebook!

…we can be +size AND healthy!

Want to join #PSPfit? All you have to do is:

  • Exercise four times a week for at least 30 minutes
  • Follow your favorite eating plan (i.e. weight watchers, Jenny Craig, Clean Eating, etc.)
  • Post your meals on Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr and tag #PSPfit
  • Post your workout pics on Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr and tag #PSPfit

Sometimes we even get together for events:

  1. Enjoyed the video – the class looks like fun! I can’t afford a gym membership so when I want to work out (like really work out, not just walk or dance around 😛 ) I check http://www.dailyhiit.com . I’m interested in knowing your favorite online workouts, if you have any.

  5. I read your blog and twitter. I guess you could say that I’m part of the PSPFit challenge in my own way. The weird thing is that the main reason I’m starting to exercise more is to get healthier (diabetes and a creeping up blood pressure), but I secretly hope to lose weight. I know I’m never going to be down to my high school weight of 125 lbs, but I sometimes really hope it will happen and find myself really contemplating adding the fad diet tricks with my exercise. How do you keep it all in perspective–keeping the health forefront and the vanity in the background?
