Travel Diary: Miami

Miami is one of my favorite cities to visit. It’s an easy/affordable flight from New York City, which makes it the perfect getaway. The past few times I’ve visited Miami, my focus was beach, beach, pool, beach.

But when I went to Miami last month my focus was completely different.

I was in Miami for 24 hours for a layover during my trip to Cuba. So instead of focusing on the beach, I decided to spend the day exploring Miami’s Wynwood Art District. I spent the day there in my favorite dress from Universal Standard.

The Geneva dress is becoming an essential part of my travel wardrobe. I can style this dress in so many ways and it feels like a fresh look every time. Here’s how I spent one day in one dress, Miami style.

Morning: YouTube Vlogging

I threw on the Universal Standard Geneva dress with some sneakers and a headscarf to go exploring the Wynwood area in the morning. I knew the Wynwood Walls were gorgeous and I wanted to scout the restaurants and coffee shops in the area.

Afternoon: Work, Work, Werk!

I spent the afternoon taking meetings at the sunny Miam Cafe on NW 3rd street. The staff was very kind and I felt comfortable hanging out there for a bit. If you go I recommend getting one of their Matcha Lattes. I also recommend taking pictures in front of their black and white striped building… so cool!

Evening: Dinner at Coyo Taco

I wasn’t sure how the food would be in Cuba, so I wanted to make sure I got something super yummy before I flew over. We went to Coyo tacos and omg yum! I’d recommend you save room for the Paletas la Michoacana, which are basically homemade mexican popsicles. Delish!
