What Are Sisterlocks?
First things first, let me tell you about my Sisterlocks. Sisterlocks are tiny uniform locks created using a special tool. They are low maintenance and allow for versatile styling options. To maintain my Sisterlocks, I get them retightened every four weeks or once a month at Sabines Hallway Natural Hair Salon. This helps to keep them neat and tidy.
What is a Good Scalp Detox for Long Healthy Natural Hair?
In addition to retightening my sisterlocks, I also do a scalp detox once a month. The scalp detox mask is Sabine’s homemade recipe, which is not available for sale (yet!). But it’s made with natural ingredients like bentonite clay, apple cider vinegar, and essential oils. It helps to remove build-up and impurities from my scalp, leaving it clean and refreshed.
What is a Good Shampoo & Conditioner for Long Natural Hair?
After the scalp detox, I wash my hair with Nutrafol Root Purifier Shampoo and Strand Defender Conditioner. These products are specifically formulated to promote hair growth and protect hair from damage. They leave my hair feeling clean, soft, and nourished.
Is Hair Steaming Good for Natural Hair?
Next up is hair steaming. This is an essential step in my hair care routine. Hair steaming involves using a hair steamer or a heated towel to apply moist heat to the hair. The benefits of hair steaming include increased moisture retention, improved elasticity, and enhanced absorption of hair products. It helps to keep my hair hydrated, soft, and easy to manage.
What is a Good Leave in Conditioner For Long Natural Hair?
Lastly, I condition my hair with Sabine’s Hallway Hair Potion Oil. This product is formulated with natural ingredients like olive oil, rosemary, clove, jojoba oil, cedar wood, vitamin e and castor oil. It helps to nourish and strengthen my hair, leaving it shiny, soft, and healthy.
My Weekly Healthy Hair Routine
In addition to my monthly scalp detox at the salon, I also take care of my scalp at home. I wash my scalp with Head and Shoulders shampoo 1-2 times per week.
