Plus Size Shopping at Target | Dressing Room Confidential

I never considered doing a Dressing Room Confidential video inside Target because it seemed so obvious to me. We all have a Target store near us, right? I assumed we were all popping in there from time to time and trying on clothes.

But clearly I was wrong because I’ve gotten a bunch of requests for this video.

If you’ve been nervous about trying on clothes or if you hate shopping, I think Target is a great “starter store” for you. There is no pressure in the Target dressing room. You can grab clothes from the juniors section, skinny section, I’ve ever grabbed a top from the maternity section before!

The dressing room is a great place to experiment and have fun with clothes, try different trends and learn what you like. If you hate shopping or shopping makes you feel uncomfy, watch my video and try to imagine the looks on you or how you’d style things differently… then let me know what you think in the comments. Okay?

Let’s Begin!

  1. I’m additicted to target. I am on my way to mine the only one is the District of Columbia now lol ( I live a few min away) I buy online from them because of the prices and exclusives. I even got the marimekko swim top and hat. I have this skirt that’s in jr plus size and I’ve had it for years! And I love the plus section in my store for once I can say that. Different areas targets yields different results so with that being said I see how your clothing in your target looks different. But I have the dress ! Lol I wear it to work lol also yay to everything. I’m super picky but I like how the lace shirt fits on you and I honestly don’t have a shirt that covers things. I see thats needed one but I have large boobs and it makes me look 6 months pregnant lol I could go on and on with a list of stuff I have. Everytime I go for groceries I pick up an outfit or a piece lol oh and if you have the target cartwheel app they have 25 percent off or different deals on clothing.

  3. I love that dress on you! Did you end up buying it? I tried it on b/c it was insanely popular in the Modcloth junkies groups, but it just didn’t fit me right – it hit a weird place on my calf and I just don’t like dresses that length. BUT, But But! It looked ADORABLE on you. What kind of shoes would you wear it with? Also, loved the first pair of shorts and that cute plaid shirt!

  5. Target is one of my favorite stores!!! I love them! My second love is Trunk Club, they have LOTs of plus size clothes. They send the clothes to your house and you try them on in the privacy of your own home. It’s an amazing service! My stylist is Angela Green, but i’d imagine that all of their people are good. I’m super busy with little time to shop and i’d be LOST without them!

  7. I just bought the green jacket on clearance for about $30. I’ve been wanting a safari inspired jacket for travel (lightweight and will pack easily), and was so happy to stumble on this.

Has anyone else noticed that the plus size section has been moved “across the aisle” in their Target? I’ve started to make it a habit to check every Target store I go in, because I wanted to be sure this is not an isolated incident and it doesn’t seem to be. They have moved the maternity and the plus section out of the regular clothing section and across the aisle. This bugs me on so many levels. First of all, it’s like women who are plus sized have to do the “walk of shame” to get to the section of clothes that fit them. Also, why are maternity and plus size lumped together? Last I checked, pregnant ladies come in all shapes and sizes and you do not need to be pregnant to be plus sized. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this. I pointed it out to my sister a few weeks ago, and she’s now noticing the same thing!

  11. wonderful post, very informative. I’m wondering why the other specialists of this sector don’t realize this. You must continue your writing. I’m confident, you have a great readers’ base already!
