Plus Size Princesses around the world brought in 2013 in style and shared their pics with me on Instagram (I’m PlusSizePrincess on IG), it was so much fun to see the different outfits that we all put together. Thank you to all the PSPs that participated, we’ll definitely do this again soon! For the full range of photos click #PSPNYE on instagram.
I started my New Years Eve at church, praying in the New Year with my sister who was in NYC with me. After service I met up with Robert, his brother and their friends at a party in the village. Church and the club definitely require different outfits so… I went from “Holy” to “Hoochie” in one night 😉 Here’s what I wore:
Old Navy stopped carrying their +size section in the store and moved it exclusively online but I’ve still been able to find clothes there. I never have a problem getting into an XL or XXL dresses or sweater in the stores (I’m working on fitting into their size 20 jeans, but I’m not there yet!). For the Hoochie portion of the evening, I took a knee length sequined skirt and wore it high on my waist to make it into a mini.

It was hard to choose, but here are six of my favorite looks from the #PSPNYE feed. There was a great variety of casual looks as well as glamorous plus size dresses in the #PSPNYE feed, showing that there’s no right or wrong way to dress up for the New Year. Special shout out to Jwunderlin who borrowed her fur vest from her grandma (Love!)

Wow. I’m so honored to be one of your favorite looks for New Years! My glitter dress was custom made for my belly dance troupe. We call them our “Motown Mermaid” outfits. When there are several of us on stage, we look like a 60s girl group. 🙂 I love reading your blog and all the inspiring stories. Because of my new found confidence and #healthycurves, I bought my first bodycon dress last week and wore it to the Lady Gaga concert last night. I felt amazing!
The dress is fab!
You went to a Lady Gaga concert? Jealous… she was in Canada, right?
Tacoma, WA.

Usually I don’t learn article on blogs, but I would like to say that this write-up very forced me to try and do so! Your writing style has been surprised me. Thank you, quite nice post.
Hello, i think that i noticed you visited my site so i came to “go back the want”.I’m attempting to to find issues to enhance my site!I guess its good enough to make use of some of your concepts!!
Very well written story. It will be useful to anyone who utilizes it, including myself. Keep up the good work – can’r wait to read more posts.
What does this mean? In the practical sense,
not much… but in the legal world, it works as a sort of sleight-of-hand that
protects Uber in the event of a lawsuit. You see, under the law, employers are considered to be more responsible
for the actions of their employees than they are for the actions of
their independent contractors.
Uber has used this argument to protect itself against third party plaintiffs many times, including in a
lawsuit filed by the family of a young girl who was killed by an Uber driver while crossing the street.
If they can use that defense against an innocent child, you
can bet they’ll use it against you!
However, this issue is still a legally hazy one.
Strong legal precedent has not yet been established on this
particular question, and different courts have come to different conclusions.
Right now, the status quo seems to be that Uber drivers are considered employees in some areas, and independent contractors in others.
Regardless, you can be certain that if you were hit by an Uber driver,
the company will do what it can to avoid having to pay you a dime.
In these situations, a personal injury attorney is more important than ever,
and one with experiences in Uber cases is a definite
plus. If you find yourself in an Uber accident, you should take the same steps that you should take after any automobile accident.
These steps include protecting your own safety by getting out of the line of immediate danger and calling 911 if anyone has been injured, remaining at the
scene and sharing insurance information with any other drivers who were involved, calling the police if the accident is serious,
and reporting it to your insurance company.
