Plus Size Fashion with Igigi!

Oh Igigi, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways…

Igigi by Yuliya Raquel is one of my favorite plus size boutiques. I met the Igigi team during Full Figured Fashion Week last summer and have since added three of their dresses to my wardrobe.

Today I am wearing the outfit featured below. I based today’s look on the Helena Dress, which Igigi so generously sent to me last week.  This dress is the perfect splash of color to make me feel like Spring is on the way. Its still a bit cold in NYC, so I threw on some tights and boots, but I look forward to wearing this with bare legs and open toed shoes when its warmer.

I’m rocking pearls, my favorite pink lip gloss, Ralph Lauren Romance perfume and this outfit also gave me an excuse to wear my new Betsey Johnson earrings that I mentioned on twitter the other day.

I have plans with Robert later tonight and I feel pretty, which is what a good dress should do!

P.S. Want to win a $50 gift card to Igigi? Just leave a comment on this post! xoxo

Plus Size Helena Dress in Magenta/Navy by IGIGI

A few notes on this dress: I am 5’10 and the dress hits me above the knee, the A-line cut really slims my mid-section, the grey belt is a separate purchase. Also, this dress is on sale!

  1. That dress is gorgeous! What kind of fabric is it? It looks like its straight up stiff cotton and I tend to get the ultra embarrassing underarm wetspots in that sort of fabric. I’m looking for a nice dress to wear for when my boyfriend and I go out on our one year anniversary and I always forget about Igigi. Thanks for the reminder! 😀

    1. @ Diane: The fabric on the skirt is stiff, but the top is very soft. I dont get “pit stains” lol so I dont know how it works, but I feel like it wouldn’t be as bad as like– a T-shirt.

      Hope that helps! xoxo

  3. I LOVE Igigi clothing, but never seem to find anything in my size! They’re always sold out, which just means that everyone is as forward fashion thinking as I am. 😉 Seriously though, I have several friends who have bought from Igigi and keep returning for more. It’s like a drug. Addictive. 🙂

  4. Discovered a shop that carries Igigi in my city a couple weeks ago– unfortunately there’s a markup on the ticket price since it crosses the US border into Canada, but the dresses are luxuriously beautiful and comfortable and I love, love, love this line!

    Love the earrings, btw!

  8. Question about the pearls, with long necklaces do you have a problem with them bunching between “the girls”? I can’t seem to wear long necklaces like skinny girls because the just fall into the canyon =(

    1. @ Jess: I guess its an issue… more so with long skinny necklaces. But honestly I dont care! Big long necklaces are a signature look of mine and I’m not letting “the twins” ruin that haha

I think having bigger boobs makes fun, crazy necklaces look better… go for it! 🙂

  11. Love it! I’ve been hesitant about ordering too much online because I’m also tall (6′), so it’s nice to have an idea about where dresses would actually hit me.

  17. I love Igigi! I always check out the website to see what new fashion designs they’ve come up with. My only issue is w/ my budget, I can’t afford the clothes. I also have an issue with my shape because everything doesn’t look cute on everyone. And although the models look fabulous in the outfits, I know that w/ my shape, it won’t look the same lol! But I do love how you put the outfit together! It’s very cute!

  27. I love this dress in black and purple. I wish Igigi would magically and generously ship one to my address too.
I’m also 5’10, so its interesting to hear how things fit you lengthwise, we must be a fair bit taller than the model.

  35. Howdy! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website? I’m getting tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

  36. Good day! This is my very first reply here so I really wanted to give a fast hello and tell you I truly enjoy reading your articles. Can you suggest any other blogs that cover home interior design? I’m also pretty interested in this! Thanks for your time!

  37. Are you tired of your ac repair in Dubai? Are you looking for Certified Professionals to carry out your ac repair with improved facilities and in an expert way?. Hot and humid conditions are not easy to tolerate, especially when you are not used to them. But, thanks to the air conditioners – living in such extreme settings can also become a pleasant experience, and more so if you are in Dubai.

  38. It was wonderful to read this article and I believe you are entirely right. Inform me in case you’re involved in conference room monitors, that’s my primary expertise. Hope to see you soon, bye for now!

  39. Hello, I am so grateful I found your web page, I actually discovered you by mistake, while I was browsing on Google for bitcoin wallet. Regardless I am here now and would simply enjoy to say thanks a lot for a great article and the all around entertaining website (I likewise love the theme), I don’t have sufficient time to look over it all at the moment but I have saved it and also added in your RSS feeds, so once I have the time I will be returning to go through much more. Please do keep up the excellent work.

  40. I was just seeking this info for a while. After 6 hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your website. I wonder what’s the lack of Google strategy that do not rank this type of informative web sites in top of the list. Usually the top sites are full of garbage.

  41. Admiring the persistence you invested in the blog and in-depth facts you present. It’s great to find a blogging site once in a while which is just not the same outdated rehashed material. Excellent read! I have bookmarked your website and I am including your RSS feeds to my own valid credit card numbers webpage.
