Mother’s Day Made Easy with Ebay

I can remember being a little girl and asking my Mom if we could be friends. She gave me the classic black mom response “I’m not your friend, I’m your Mother.”

Fast forward a couple of decades and (even though she’d never admit it) my Mom and I are friends! I quietly inserted myself into her friend circle and by the time she realized we had a friend element to our relationship it was too late for her to fight it anymore *bwahahaha*

One thing I notice about my mom is that she can be selfless to a fault (I’m sure we can all relate to that!).

My mom is a very giving person. She’s always doing things for my Dad or my sisters and I. As a pastors wife, she’s always doing things for the community. Not to mention the students at the university where she works.

Of course, she often forgets to give to herself… that’s where I come in!

Some people like to take their mom to brunch or dinner on Mother’s Day, but my favorite thing to do is to shower my Mom with things she wouldn’t get for herself.

Sometimes it’s a nice purse or a spa day. This year I went for beauty treats and I turned to Ebay to help me get the job done.

Did you know that 81% of the items on Ebay are brand new? This is what inspired my love of Ebay for beauty!

I love shopping for luxury beauty items on Ebay because sometimes you can find items that are unexpected or even unavailable in regular department stores. Most of the items I want are available with the “Buy it Now” feature so I don’t have to bid on anything.

I filled my cart with “Buy it Now” items and created a custom beauty bag for my mom with some of my favorite things.

I started off by ordering her the MAC Risk Taker palatte, the rich shimmery colors and pretty neutrals are great for days in the office or nights out on the town.

I ordered her a few of my favorite Nars velvet lip pencils (along with a Nars Sharpener, because I was so frustrated the first time I realized I needed a custom one).

Lastly, I ordered her some smashbox primer water, again these are the things she sees me using but I know she’d never splurge on them herself.

I shared her gifts with her a little early so that she could open them before I head back to New York City… I think she liked them! If you’re looking for some Mother’s Day gift options, click here and check out Ebay’s Mother’s Day selections

This post is a collaboration with my friends at Ebay. All opinions are my own, of course!
