Looking for a Sports Bra for Big Busts? Read This!

Can we talk about sports bras for a second?

One of the things I’ve observed is that some of us like our sports bras WITH underwire and some of us prefer our sports bra WITHOUT underwire. Are you Team Underwire or Team no Underwire?

I’ve had extra bounce, jiggle and spillage ruin many of my workouts. Not to mention the strange contraptions I’ve created for myself that included my regular bra with a flimsy sports bra layered over it. The combination of being active and having large breasts shouldn’t be a big deal and it should be super easy to find a sports bras for big boobs.

Ask any busty girl who goes to the gym where she gets her sports bras and you’re going to get a different answer from all of us. So, I’m always checking out the latest sports bras that come in my size to see if there’s anything out there that I truly love.

That’s why I was really excited when I discovered Glamorise sports bras.

Glamorise has been around for a while making quality bras for women of all sizes and now they’re bringing their expertise to sports bras with some amazing options that come with and without underwire.

Glamorise Sports Bras go up to a G Cup (!!!)

Here are two that I absolutely love! I personally prefer my sports bra to have underwire, but because I love you I’ve been checking out both versions.

Underwire Sports Bra:

The Glamorise Underwire Sports Bra is my new favorite, the support is unreal. I’ve worn it during a dance class and during a more intense TRX work out and I’m obsessed with to comfort, fit and the way it keeps “the twins” from bouncing all over the place.

Double Layer Custom Control Sport:

As I mentioned– sports bras with underwire are my preference so I didn’t have high expectations for this bra. …and then I tried it on.

The Double Layer Custom Control Sports Bra is designed for a girl like me who does a variety of different workouts.  So, first you put it on, then you take the outer layer and you decide how much support you want/need. (See my YouTube Video Below). By hooking the outer layer on a higher hook, I give myself more support without wires. Then when I’m taking a low impact class like yoga, I can put it on a lower hook if I want to.

  1. Definitely team underwire even though the one without looked really cool, I just feel overall more supported with the underwire ?

  3. I am absolutely and definitely team underwire! Although I hate when the wire breaks…and stabs me lol… I still gotta have my support.

  5. I’m definitely team NO underwire. Although underwire tends to give premium lift I refuse to get stabbed in my side anymore or deal with the indentations underneath the “girls” after a long day. No wire all the way. Thanks for the post and suggestions. Perfect timing as I my old workout bras need to be replaced.

  9. I would love to get away with a sports bra, but being a 44H makes it hard to find a wireless bra that won’t give me a uniboob. I prefer underwires namely because they offer a great deal of desperately needed support. They are not, however, comfortable to wear at home. Wireless bras from Lane Bryant have been a lifesaver for me when it comes to at-home comfort.

  11. I would like to use the opportunity of thanking you for your professional guidance I have often enjoyed checking out your site. We are looking forward to the actual commencement of my college research and the complete groundwork would never have been complete without visiting your blog. If I may be of any help to others, I’d be delighted to help by way of what I have gained from here.
