Lately, I’ve been giving my skin a lot of care and attention, doing all I can to keep it healthy (hello, Micro needling?). One of the ways I’ve been doing this is by giving my skin a break from makeup or at least keeping my makeup look very simple to allow my skin to breathe.

I’ve received a few requests on how I do my No Makeup Makeup look, so I’ve decided to share my routine. Hopefully watching me will give you some tips to achieve a natural glam look without wearing tons and tons of makeup.

With any makeup look, I always try to begin with toner to even out my skin tone and give my skin time to breathe. I’m using the Pixi Tonic Toner that Pixi was kind enough to send me. Then I apply their Rose Caviar Essence Serum for extra hydration. This serum has tiny little rose petals that dissolve into your skin. Cool right? With any serum or beauty product that I’m using, I like to blend all the way down — my mom taught me that this helps to prevent a wrinkly neck! Then I take Pixi’s Rose Flash Balm to prime my face, and lock in all the hydration, leaving a natural glow. Following these steps help to give you a good base to apply your makeup.

Next, I’ll add just a tad of makeup! I’ll take my Becca Ultimate Coverage Longwear Concealer in Java, and run it under my eyes and the crease of my nose to cover my dark spots. I’ll use a clean sponge to blend the concealer to even out my skin tone. To set the concealer, I’ll take my Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder covering all of the areas I applied my concealer — keeping me from getting too greasy and shiny throughout the day. You don’t need too much powder, just enough for an even consistency.

Sometimes if I really want to amp it up, I will include a natural eyeshadow. I’ll brighten my eyelids with Marc Jacobs O!MEGA Gel Powder Eyeshadow in the color Brav-O! I love this color against my skin tone, it gives a nice pop of color, brightening my eyes. When applying the eyeshadow, I like to keep a soft crease, blending it in for a nice natural look. I’ll use La Roche Posay Mascara, in the color Respectissime, to extend and define my lashes. Lashes are the secret to looking put together, even when you don’t feel like it.

Lastly, I apply my favorite lip mask to hydrate my lips, giving me a nice gloss. Then I’ll add a neutral lip color, like the Pixi by Petra Nude Balm in Really Rose, to accentuate my natural lip color. The secret to a natural lip look is lining your lips with a nude lip liner, then blending it into your lipstick.

That’s it! Easy Breezy, right?

I hope you guys love this No Makeup, Make Up look. It’s super simple and perfect for an everyday look. I encourage you to give this no makeup look a try for yourself, and tag me in your pictures so I can show some love!
