Healthy, Yummy NYC Brunch at Bluestone Lane

Fun fact about me, Brunch is my favorite meal! I love sleeping in but still getting breakfast food, I love chatting with friends into the late afternoon and I really love it when a brunch meal is outside or has extra sunny views. The only drawback with brunch is that when you’re trying to live a healthy lifestyle, sometimes mimosas, french toast and bacon aren’t the best choices. On the other hand, staying home to eat oatmeal every weekend isn’t always super appealing either. I asked you all on my instagram if you were interested in healthy brunch options in NYC and lots of you said YES! So, as I find great reastaurants, I’ll send them your way. If you…

Let’s Talk Travel: 9 Things to Do in San Diego, CA

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to explore more. I love to travel and I really want to start making the most of the cities and countries that I visit in 2016, so I’ll be taking you along with me! I’m from Fresno, California and my family often vacations in Oceanside, CA right outside of San Diego. When we’re all together, we pretty much hang by the pool and enjoy each other’s company, but this Christmas I decided to take in San Diego more than I usually do. I spent a couple of nights on my own, then I met up with my family for more adventures. I think we all know about the San Diego Zoo and the other…

Riding a Whale in Jamaica | Shame Free Confidence | Travel Vlog

A few months ago I got a text from my girl Chastity (aka GarnerStyle). We’re going to Jamaica. You’re Coming. And that was pretty much that. Just two years ago I can remember being so jealous of my skinny friends for having a bunch of bikinis when I could barely find one granny style swim-dress that I was comfortable in. This time everything was different. I was the one with a suitcase full of bikinis and coverups! The best way I can describe what I felt in Jamaica is to call it “Shame-Free Confidence”, its the most freeing feeling to be okay with what you look like– I’ll be talking more about that during #PSPfit bootcamp. Get your invite here…

Don’t Wait on Your Weight to Travel: Miami

For a very long time I felt that certain trips should be saved for when I looked a certain way. I would tell myself things like “when I fit into a bikini, I will go to Jamaica/Hawaii/Miami/Mexico”. Even though I’ve got the gumption now to book trips to those places, I still have to push through nerves and body insecurity once I get there. That first moment by the pool when I take off my cover-up is never easy, no matter how many times I’ve done it. Related: How to Pack for a Miami Beach Weekend It always feels like everyone is looking at me and if I hear laughter in the distance, I still tense up, wondering if someone is…

How to Pack (Plus Size) for the Caribbean! Feat. @TropTrav & @swimsuits4all

Packing for a Caribbean vacation can be a daunting task for someone who is navigating her body confidence like I am. I’ll never be the girl who can throw a few string bikinis and a coverup into her suitcase and dash off to the beach. Feeling comfortable and confident on the beach takes work on my end, but I’ll let you in on my Beach/Caribbean packing tip: Don’t pack anything new. I packed my suitcase with summer favorites that I knew I felt good in. I grabbed the shorts that I knew wouldn’t make chub rub an issue, the dresses that I could dress up/down and the swimsuit that I’d had a huge confidence epiphany in. Below is a look…

My Fabulous Vacation with @TropTrav & @eldoradoroyale #PSPtravel

From the moment we got off the plane in Cancun, we were taken care of. The Tropical Travelers had a private car with giftbags waiting for us as soon as we got out of customs. After a 30 minute drive from Cancun to Riviera Maya, my sisters, Denise and Nikki, My Boo Thang, Robert, My BFF, Alex and I walked into the El Dorado Royal Resort & Spa. I’m pretty sure all five of us collectively took in a deep appreciative breath because from the moment you walked into the lobby, it was clear that every inch of the resort was impeccable… Checking into an All-Inclusive resort means that from the moment you arrive, everything is 100% paid for and taken…

Relationships: Unexpected Moments…

Dating is one of those things that looks completely different when you’re on the outside looking in. I used to watch my friends with their significant others and it seemed like everything that was happening was so exciting, cool and romantic. Now that I’ve been dating Robert for a while, I’m finding that the exciting and romantic moments definitely happen, but they always come unexpectedly. Last weekend we spent four days in Rivera Maya, Mexico with The Tropical Travelers. I was able to bring Robert, my best friend Alex and my little sisters Denise and Nikki. As I prepared for the trip, I imagined all the romantic settings we’d be in and how the shared experience of holding hands in paradise,…

Plus Size Travel: Would you Buy your own Seatbelt Extender?

Every time I fly I wonder if the seatbelt on the plane is going to fit. As I mentioned on Instagram yesterday, I flew on one plane and had room to spare on my seatbelt… four days later on another plane, I needed an extender: It used to bother me a lot more than it does now. But as time passes I just accept the fact that if the airplane seatbelt doesn’t fit… I’ll spend a few minutes trying to quietly flag down a flight attendant to help me. Back in the day, I used to cover my lap with my jacket in the hope that no one would notice that I wasn’t buckled in, but that’s not safe so…

A Plus Size Princess & Her Luggage

I was on the M60 bus last night and there was a girl who was on her way to La Guardia Airport. She had the tiniest suitcase with her and I thought to myself… wow, I think I could fit one pair of my jeans in that carry-on… if I rolled them super tight Even if I’m going away for a weekend and am bringing three outfits, there is no way I could fit everything in one of those black square suitcases that people wheel around. My bras alone need their own duffel bag and if its winter and I’m packing bulky sweaters? Forget about it! I never realized that I probably pack for trips differently because my clothes take…
