Travel Blog: My First Trip to Martha’s Vineyard

This summer I rented a house on Martha’s Vineyard with my girlfriends. A lot of my friends went to really fancy schools in Boston, so they’ve been going to Martha’s Vineyard since undergrad, but this was my first time.

I had zero expectations coming into the trip, I just knew I would be on a charming island with my friends. In the end the 7 days we spent on the island is my favorite thing I’ve done all summer.

Martha’s Vineyard is nice because some areas feel like the woods and some areas feel like the beach. I really liked being able to tap into both of those vibes each day.

Before I jump into things to do, here are some quick things I learned.

3 Major Adulting Mistakes I Made This Year

As I stood on the corner of 34th street and 7th avenue, I was in a full blown panic. I was too weak to stand on my own, so I leaned against the grimy wall outside New York Penn Station and waited for an ambulance to find me in the middle of Manhattan.

Just a few hours earlier, I was happily dancing at a friends wedding.

A few days before that I was filming my first national segment for the Today Show during New York Fashion Week.

I had no idea that while I was laser focused on supporting my friends and pursuing my passions, my body was quietly falling apart.

Which brings me to the most frustrating adulting mistake I’ve made this year….

5 Amazing Things that Happened This Month: January

One of my New Year’s resolutions for 2018 is to take note of the good things in my life while they’re happening. If you haven’t figured this out about me already, I’m very driven and goal oriented. This is a good thing, but sometimes I’m so focused on the future that I don’t take in the amazing things happening in the present until much later.

This year I want to look back on each day, week and month and take moments for joy and gratitude.

That being said, I’d like to share with you 5 Amazing things that happened in the month of January.

Last fall a bunch of stuff happened and I did a horrible job of keeping you updated. To make a long story short, I got incredibly sick at the end of September and spent almost a month in the hospital. I know. It was awful. Because of everything that happened and the intense recovery that I’ve been doing, I didn’t have the energy to write blog posts but I did upload regular videos on my YouTube channel. Are you subscribed? Click Here to join the party! Anyway, I did an in depth YouTube life update video where I explained exactly what happened that landed me in the hospital for three weeks (you can watch that video here). I also announced on my YouTube channel…

Happy 2018, my loves! I took some extended time off after the holidays but now I am back into the swing of things! Some of you may have noticed this about me, but I’m a planner. In my personal life and in my work life, mapping things out is a big part of how my brain works. I love to take my visions and ideas and bring them to life. I’ve been blessed to do what I love as my full time job. I get to blog, do youtube and run theCURVYcon for a living. In order to juggle everything, I really have to stay organized. For the past three years I’ve been using the passion planner– it was really…

Bunny Hop, Anyone?! | Plus Size Swim & African Prints | NYCeCe Vlog #6

I finally had an excuse to wear my plus size moto jacket that I scooped up a few months ago. It was perfect for a pretty spring day and I think the bunny ears really pulled this outfit together 😉 For those who don’t know, this is my best friend Alex, I’ve known him since the 2nd grade! Had so much fun the other week running around the city with my friends, checking out the new Monif C swimsuit line and of course having brunch… I recorded it all for you on my YouTube channel (PlusSizePrincessNYC) You can also see me doing the Bunny Hop, which might be my favorite dance lol outfit deets below! Things I Love… Stationary!

Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person who likes to write notes and letters. A few nights ago, Robert did something sweet that made me feel really good. Instead of sending him a facebook message or a text, I pulled out some stationary that I keep in my desk and wrote him a short note. Anyway, its nice to know that there are still companies out there dedicated to pen and paper communication. I started doing some research and came across an adorable stationary site call Bride & Groom. I’m not a bride… yet 😉 but I love looking at all of the different designs. There’s something so whimsical and romantic about stationary, I look forward to choosing mine when…
