5 Reasons You Should Get a Bike

Note: I shot pictures for this post after a 40 minute bike ride, so all the smiles and makeup free sweaty goodness is the real deal! I’ve wanted a bike for a long time, but I was scared! I was scared because I live in NYC and the traffic is dangerous enough as a pedestrian, so the idea of becoming part of traffic with a bike seemed like something only adventurous people would do. I was also scared because my apartment is in a walk up building and bringing a heavy bike up and down the stairs seemed… risky. But over the summer, I kept seeing people on bikes. This year it seemed like more than ever. Cute girls in…

Looking for a Sports Bra for Big Busts? Read This!

Can we talk about sports bras for a second? One of the things I’ve observed is that some of us like our sports bras WITH underwire and some of us prefer our sports bra WITHOUT underwire. Are you Team Underwire or Team no Underwire? I’ve had extra bounce, jiggle and spillage ruin many of my workouts. Not to mention the strange contraptions I’ve created for myself that included my regular bra with a flimsy sports bra layered over it. The combination of being active and having large breasts shouldn’t be a big deal and it should be super easy to find a sports bras for big boobs. Ask any busty girl who goes to the gym where she gets her sports bras…

Waist Trainer Workout ? Let’s Do it | Plus Size Workout Video

Summers over and for me this is the best time to get back to working on my fitness goals. Winter is long and terrible, so I might as well hibernate in the gym lol Two people hit me up on my instagram asking my thoughts on waist trainers at the gym. I’ve seen celebrities wearing them at the gym on social media and I’ve read that some people swear by them and some people swear against them. For me, I do find the back support that comes from a waist trainer helpful and as someone who carries weight in her tummy, I like taking off my waist trainer and seeing a bunch of tummy sweat. But the thing I remember…

Brown Rice for Breakfast

So many of you were inspired by my Quinoa for Breakfast post, I thought I’d bring you a new healthy breakfast option, brown rice for breakfast! Why Brown Rice? Worlds Healthiest Foods sums it up well: The health benefits of brown rice continue with its fiber, which has been shown to reduce high cholesterol levels, one more way brown rice helps prevent atherosclerosis. Fiber also helps out by keeping blood sugar levels under control (PCOS girls, take note!) I am obsessed with this recipe because it’s super easy, customizable and delicious. For me, the toasted sesame oil is the secret flavor here, but I’ll let you try it out and decide for yourself. I’ll give you the rundown of how I made…

Healthy, Yummy NYC Brunch at Bluestone Lane

Fun fact about me, Brunch is my favorite meal! I love sleeping in but still getting breakfast food, I love chatting with friends into the late afternoon and I really love it when a brunch meal is outside or has extra sunny views. The only drawback with brunch is that when you’re trying to live a healthy lifestyle, sometimes mimosas, french toast and bacon aren’t the best choices. On the other hand, staying home to eat oatmeal every weekend isn’t always super appealing either. I asked you all on my instagram if you were interested in healthy brunch options in NYC and lots of you said YES! So, as I find great reastaurants, I’ll send them your way. If you…
