A Year of Loving Myself 2016

I opened up my laptop to write this post and I had a little epiphany. A year ago I closed out 2015 with some personal updates and I let you know that I’d stopped dating Robert. Now I’m closing out 2016 with some more personal updates including that I’m in a new relationship with a man who makes me very happy. But before we get to the mushy stuff, let’s dive into a few ways that I loved myself in 2016. I suggest that you first read “A Year of Loving Myself 2015” so that you can truly understand my journey. I share this list in the hopes that I can help you to live the life you want and…

He Asked for My Ring Size and I Said… This

I could feel him falling for me. I’d been feeling it since our first brunch date. It was one of those perfect days when autumn is coming but summer is still holding on, so the weather was perfect. I jumped out of my uber and although he was 6’4, he always seemed to stand up a tiny bit taller when he saw me. I felt it during that first dinner when we talked about where our lives were going and I let it slip that I want to move back to California. He frowned a bit “oh, really? like … how soon?” I laughed and assured him that even though my heart is back in California, my work would keep me in NYC…

Dear CeCe: I Found My Office Crush on a Dating Site… Help!

Dear CeCe, I love your blog! You really inspire me! I am in need of a little advice. There is a guy at work, whom I work with closely. Everything he does says he likes me. Even my coworkers say that he has a crush on me. He comes to see me with a huge, enchanting smile on his face almost daily for things that could be handled via email, he calls me nice names like sunshine…he even took me on a nice lunch where he proceeded to tell me intimate-datey details. I am really falling for this guy and it’s making me crazy. Why hasn’t he asked me out? Could it be the taboo of office relationships? In an…

A Year of Loving Myself: 2015

If I were the type of person who said things like “This is gonna be my year!” I would have said it on January 1, 2015. But I’m not that kind of person, so I just giddily looked ahead. I was confident that at the end of 2015 I would love myself and my life in a completely different way than I did in 2014. Welp– I can confidently say that I was right, but… um… my version of 2015 was all roses and what really happened was roses and thorns… lots of thorns (shout out to Brett Michaels, you called it bro). Loving yourself and living a life you love are beautiful goals. The results are always worth…

6 Alternatives To Online Dating

These days, it feels like the only way to meet someone new is to swipe left, swipe right, or send some sort of winking emoji. Online dating is “the thing” — I get it. But what if online dating isn’t your thing? How do you meet people if you’re over online dating, or if you were just never into it to begin with? Dear CeCe: I’m Confident, Single & Struggling. Help!

Hi CeCe! I have a question/need some advice. I’m having a hard time because I’ve fought so hard for the confidence I have, but the fact that I’ve never had a boyfriend is making me feel sort of undesirable! I’ve never really had the confidence to have boyfriend but now I do and I’d really like that experience! I’m wondering what I can do/where I can go to meet someone. I’m just not sure what to do! I’m going to be 21 soon and I’d love to find someone to share things and experiences with! Any advice you can give would be so awesome.  -J Hi J, First of all, I love that you’re telling me that you have confidence–…

Exciting News!!

Exciting news… I’m happy to share with you that I officially have a book project in the works! So many of you have been encouraging me to write a book based on this blog and now it’s happening. This book project will not happen overnight, but it is happening. It’s actually a little early in the game for me to share this with you, but I’m spilling the beans early for three very specific reasons. Don’t Bang on Locked Doors: There was a time when I thought a book was the next logical step for me; during that time I pitched my book idea and I got turned down… a lot! So I put that idea on pause, I…
