October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so, it’s time for a little TMI post. Can we talk about boob sweat for a minute?
I love my body and wouldn’t change my full bust for the world, but one of the awkward parts about having large breasts is that they can get a little sweaty from an intense workout. Full disclosure: sometimes it’s just natural friction from them rubbing together through the day that leaves a girl sweaty and sticky.
For a long time, I would swipe a little deodorant between my boobies. Then, after doing reading about some of the potential health risks that come from anti-perspirants, I decided to only use natural deodorants between my breasts.
As we work to save the tata’s, I’d like to share a few of my favorite products for combatting breast sweat safely:
This Etsy shop is dedicated to making breast deodorants that smell amazing! I recommend “Lickable Lemons.” The ingredient list includes things that you might find in an organic kitchen, like coconut oil and cornstarch. Add some essential oils and you have the most yummy smelling breast deodorant ever!
Boobalicious Boobalicious Breast Deodorant, $8.95, available at The Boobalicious Etsy Store.
Shea butter can be a great skin protectant, so if your boob sweat is caused by friction, a little shea can be a quick fix. If you don’t particularly like the smell of natural shea (I don’t), you can grab a scented version!
Shea ScentSations Piquant Patchouli Shea Butter, $17.95, available at Amazon.
This option applies as a lotion that quick-dries into a silky, clump-free powder. Unlike most deodorants and powders, its natural scentless formula is free of all aluminum, parabens, and talc.
Fresh Body Fresh Breasts, $11.99, available at Fresh Body.
I find this in most health food stores, so it should be easy enough to purchase if you’re looking for something quick on a hot summer day.
Crystal Crystal Body Deodorant Roll-On, available on Amazon.
Can any of these be used as an underarm deodorant as well? I’ve been using Secret or Lady Speed Stick and both of those brands contain aluminum. My mom suggested using Tom’s of Maine, but glycerin deo usually ends up irritating my skin 🙁
I had no idea Etsy sold natural deodorants, let alone for breasts. I’ll check out these options. Thanks! This is very helpful information.
