A Week in My Life: On Tour with LOFT in Boston

I’m a firm believer that taking care of yourself. Health as a practice is extremely important to me– I’m more concerned with doing things that keep me strong and healthy than how I look or what the scale says. So it is time to move forward and get back into my routine of things.

For me, this means getting back into the gym, karaoke with friends, reorganizing my closet… basically, anything that is going to help bring order back into my life.

I mean… Vogue did a story about us, what more can I say? Is this even real life??

The other day someone told me that I shouldn’t be surprised at all the press, attention and support that I’m getting because I work hard and I deserve it. While that may be true, there are many women, especially women of color, who are working hard, yet they don’t get the support they deserve. So, I can’t take it for granted… I’m forever grateful.

Travel Blog: My First Trip to Martha’s Vineyard

This summer I rented a house on Martha’s Vineyard with my girlfriends. A lot of my friends went to really fancy schools in Boston, so they’ve been going to Martha’s Vineyard since undergrad, but this was my first time.

I had zero expectations coming into the trip, I just knew I would be on a charming island with my friends. In the end the 7 days we spent on the island is my favorite thing I’ve done all summer.

Martha’s Vineyard is nice because some areas feel like the woods and some areas feel like the beach. I really liked being able to tap into both of those vibes each day.

5 Day Motivation Challenge

I don’t know about you, but it can be hard for me to get motivated and it can be even harder for me to STAY motivated!

So, I’m really proud of myself for staying motivated and consistent for this long. I feel a strong love towards myself for making a commitment and sticking to it. I’m also feeling stronger and better after my health scare last year.
