Hi my loves! You know how much I love to play around with makeup, trying new brands and items that I might find. Little by little, I’ve been stocking up on NYX Cosmetics products to do a full makeup review! What I love about NYX Cosmetics is that they have department store quality, but at a super affordable price. Their products are very pigmented and rich, so a little bit goes a long way.
I started with NYX Eyeshadow Base in the color Skin tone. I love how easy it is to apply, using my finger I can build upon the base little by little depending on the look I am going for. The eyeshadow base is also long lasting, so my eyeshadow stayed vibrant throughout the day.
I am obsessed with the Ultimate Multi-Finish Shadow Palette, the colors are so beautiful! The rose-gold shadows have been my go-to colors these last couple of days — a date even noticed *blink blink*
Your lashes can really define your makeup look. Usually, I like to keep it really minimalistic and natural. However, I decided to pic amp up the glam with NYX’s Wicked Lashes in Drama Queen. I love that these lashes are double wefted, creating a more natural style.
When it comes to foundation, it’s important that I find something that will provide maximum coverage. I’ve shared my skincare story before, and how I’m treating some discoloration and scarring that I have. So it was important to find a foundation that would cover the areas that I’m insecure about. I used a mix of NYX’s Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation, and their Total Control Drop Foundation. I’m so happy with the coverage that these products provide, it’s almost as if I don’t have any scarring at all. To set everything, I used the NYX Mineral Matte Finishing Powder to give everything an even finish.
Depending on where I’m going, or if I’m celebrating a special occasion, I might include NYX Away We Glow Liquid Booster to give me a littler extra glimmer throughout the day.
Another great way to add some color to your makeup look is by adding a beautiful blush to your cheeks. On darker skin, I’m always nervous about looking like a clown, so I like to keep my blush very subtle. But I’m loving this Ombre Blush in Soft Flush to complete my makeup look.
Last, but not least, lipstick! Like blush, it’s important that I pick a color that blends in nicely with my skin tone. This NYX Pin-Up Pout Lipstick in Red Haute is the perfect shade of red for my coloring.
