Where do I begin?
These last couple of weeks have been intense. With speaking engagements, theCURVYcon, Vogue writing an article about me and then dealing with my super sad news, I’ve been on an emotional rollercoaster *Vivian Green voice* But though everything, God is good and I am grateful.
I’m a firm believer that taking care of yourself. Health as a practice is extremely important to me– I’m more concerned with doing things that keep me strong and healthy than how I look or what the scale says. So it is time to move forward and get back into my routine of things.
For me, this means getting back into the gym, karaoke with friends, reorganizing my closet… basically, anything that is going to help bring order back into my life.
Crazy enough, this even includes travel. My tour with LOFT got extended! Exciting, right? Its been such an amazing experience, meeting up with LOFT and other amazing ladies to discuss personal style and how we can cultivate confidence. This week the tour was in Boston at the Prudential Center.
It was so nice catching up with my blogger friends and to finally meet day one fan-friends who have supported me since the beginning. Boston showed up, and showed out! I can’t wait for our next stop in Charleston, South Carolina on October 3rd and Houston on October 18th — hope to see you there!
As you can see, it’s been a busy week…but, in the best of ways. Throughout it all, I will always strive to be the best person that I can be. Staying motivated, and taking the time to appreciate the “happy perks” of all the hard work that I’m doing.
