Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Review & Giveaway

January 27 2017 | CeCe Olisa

Can I make a little confession?

One of my favorite things to do on a Friday night is test out new beauty products (nail polish, hair settings, paper masks, etc.) it’s a fun way for me to decompress from the week and feel pretty in the process. I want to get better about sharing the products I’m testing on the blog (instead of just on snapchat). So, when Neutrogena sent me a jar of their Rapid Wrinkle Repair cream, I jumped at the chance to review it… and do a giveaway.

Keep reading for details!

What is Retinol?

If you’re a skincare junkie (or watch a lot of commercials) you’ve probably heard the word “retinol” recently. Retinol is also known as Vitamin A. I’m not going to go too deep into it, but in a nutshell if you’re looking for anti-aging products, Retinol is your friend. Retinol reduces the appearance of skin problems ranging from dark circles under the eyes, uneven skin tone and sun damage to fine lines and deep facial wrinkles. See more here. Okay, so looking into Retinol, I my main concern was using it on my sensitive skin.

I’ve used Neutrogena products forever, so when they released their new Rapid Wrinkle Regenerating Cream it was the perfect cream for me to introduce Retinol into my skincare routine.

Is this a Day Cream or a Night Cream?

I’ve been using this cream in the morning and before bed since last Friday. I wear makeup every day and I didn’t feel that it changed the was my makeup looked on my face. I also think it’s a good practice to moisturize your face twice a day, in my opinion that practice alone can combat aging so my hope was that keeping my twice-a-day moisturizing routine with Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair would be an extra boost for my skins appearance.

Does it work?

First of all, a little goes a long way, so I only used a finger tips worth of this thick cream each time. When I applied it to my face I immediately felt a tingling sensation on my skin. I checked the bottle and apparently that means it’s working! So, don’t let that weird you out.

Now for the big question– does it work? I’ll say, so far so good! I’d like to use it for an entire month before saying all of the benefits, but so far I do feel like my skin is a lot softer and while I’m not really checking for wrinkles, I do sometimes feel like my skin can look a bit dull so the brightening effects make me very happy.

I’d recommend you use this link to scoop up your Rapid Repair cream because of CVS’s amazing satisfaction guarantee.

On Fridays, I just love to come home and wind down. Just let all the stress from the week to release. It’s also wash day for me, so I wash and deep condition my hair then style it for the weekend.

On Friday nights, if I’m not going the movies I like to start home improvement projects like cleaning out a cabinet or a closet. When I start on Friday evening, it feels like I have more time on the weekends for other things!

I’m not a turn-up on Friday night gal. I’m the glass of wine, movie watching, homemade dinner making with a face mask on kind! I’m a new teacher so my Fridays are PRECIOUS. Need that me time, need to wind down, ya know? Loving the giveaway! 😍

On a Friday night, I am typically checking my agenda and preparing for any meetings or projects that I may be working on that weekend. I will catch up on podcasts, journaling, my TV shows/Netflix and relax.

Friday nights are chock full of dinner making, kisses, games and cuddles 🙂 My husband and I have “date nights”with our year old daughter, and actually look forward to spending these hours together !

On some Fridays i like to decompress also by getting out if my work clothes and pull on a pair of comfy jeans and a t-shirt and socks and getting comfortable on my sofa and just breathe! May catch a movie on Netflix and just chill. But today hubby and I will do dinner and movie just to be out in the snow!

Friday nights are my guaranteed nights without the kids, my husband takes them out to do something. So I take a nice long bath, deep condition my hair, and give myself a mani/pedi.

Friday night is girls night! We designate who is hosting the sleepover, and we each bring something to contribute, which is usually wine, food, ice cream, movies, and games! And we just have a night, to laugh, vent, and enjoy each others fellowship

Friday nights are relaxation nights! That my usual mud mask night and some netflix. I do enjoy a glass of wine and popcorn (channelling my inner Olivia Pope). Occasionally fridays will include a happy hour but it ends in a mud mask and netflix!

Since I work all week, on Fridays (if I’m not singing anywhere) I like to lay in my bed with my best friends eat pizza and watch Netflix. I’m on my way to get the pizza and about to call the girls over! Lol

I follow you on Instagram, and I love to relax and watching some Netflix, or go dinner and a movie with friends or my boyfriend 😀

My husband and I have a low key date night every friday. Wednesdays are my beauty days, that way if I have a bad reaction, by saturday it should subside. 🙂

Friday is usually a night of relaxation! Time to take all the makeup off and exfoliate and pamper my skin. Also catch up on DVR movies.

  16. Stefani Brown-Leavell

Friday night is my time for unwinding from my week of teaching. After I feed the boys, and get them settled for the evening; it’s a glass of wine and binge watching Netflix while I give myself a facial.

  17. Joso Fabulous

On Friday nights if I am not going out I love to do my facials and a manicure. I order in and I relax til the Bae comes in from work..When he comes home he massages my feet and gives me a pedicure. He w.ashes my feet and scrubs them better than going to a salon. That is his thing he doesn’t want anyone to do his feet hahaha. I love to snapchat and listen to music or watch a good movie!!

I could use this accelerated retinol cream by Neutrogena I do absolute nothing on Friday and Saturday nights. I have no life! LOL! My face could use a boost.

As a mommy of two, Friday nights have a whole new meaning to them. My favorite thing is staying in and watching movies. And the occasional mud mask with my daughter.

  22. AC Repair Dubai

Are you tired of your ac repair in Dubai? Are you looking for Certified Professionals to carry out your ac repair with improved facilities and in an expert way?. Hot and humid conditions are not easy to tolerate, especially when you are not used to them. But, thanks to the air conditioners – living in such extreme settings can also become a pleasant experience, and more so if you are in Dubai.
