Plus Size Workout Video | Come Get it Bae!

October 20 2014 | CeCe Olisa

Once upon a time, I signed up for a few sessions with a pricey personal trainer. Every time I left him I felt sweaty and sore, which was what I wanted, but something felt weird. After a few sessions I finally realized– I wasn’t having fun with him. He was 100% focused on reps and form but 0% focused on the heart of fitness.

For me fitness is about more than results. Its about loving my body and feeling good! When I don’t work out I’m a little more “blah” (is anyone else like that?). Workouts are good, fun workouts are wayyy better.

Anyway, between Robbie and our second #PSPfit trainer Ashley Fettig, I’ve been having a good time moving my body. Ashley and I had a fun session this weekend and we came up with a workout video combining body weight strength training and the choreography from the “Come Get it Bae” video, which is one of my jams right now.

Big girls DO work out… so get up and move with me 🙂

If you don’t have a lot of time, this is a nice 3 minute boost for your day… if you have a little more time, you can do the routine as many times as you want… I definitely broke a sweat!

OMG that is my jam!!! I will definitely be working out to this video for sure. I’ve had such a hard time motivating myself to work out because I haven’t in soooooo long and I feel all out of shape. I know I’ll be tired after 10 minutes and I’m so embarrassed. But if I can start with this 3 minute workout, I will be super happy. Thanks for the awesome motivation 🙂

Ahhh I’m so glad you know that song. Everyone kept asking “what song is that?” lol and yes, start with three minutes then keep building– do it once, then twice… and I’ll be sure to make more so you don’t get bored! xo

I can relate to your trainer story. I once had a trainer who I swear thought he was auditioning to be a trainer for the biggest loser! I was there on my lunch break, and he nearly killed me. He had me doing power jumps (I forget if that’s what they’re called–where you jump w/ both feet from the floor to a bench?) and doing lunges across the gym with kettle bells in each hand. At one point, I got lightheaded and he blamed me for not eating enough. I didn’t eat lunch (a good thing because I would have lost my cookies) and he asked me what I ate for breakfast. When I said something like oatmeal w/ peanut butter, he said I needed to eat more. That was my last workout with him!

You are awesome. Thank you for giving me the inspiration that no one else – including myself – could do. And I’m always incredibly busy, but I can squeeze 3 minutes, even if that’s while I’m waiting at the oven for the bell to ring or restarting my computer! Yep, this 10 times a day will work just fine!

Wow ! That was a good video workout. I am out of shape. I think I can go 3 mins. It seemed like a long 3 mins 😂😂😂. I think it doable for me. I have bad knees , I will have to modify the jumping jacks.
