Hi CeCe,

Since fall is underway, any recommendations on wide-calf riding boots?

-Maribel

Hi Maribel,

Great question! The wide calf boot hunt is definitely in full effect right now. Living in New York City, my Wide Calf boots must be: Comfortable and Supportive, Fun and Fashionable, Made to last a few seasons and, of course… affordable.

I’ve ordered three pairs of wide calf boots that I’m loving, but here are four more options from brands I trust from past purchases. Hope this helps and let me know what you end up getting!

xx,

CeCe

Been looking for wide calf boots for my daughter—even with the links you provided–still nothing wide enough. Sure makes it hard on girls that want to be fashionable—yet are in big fluffy bodies. The only ones we found were over $300. And only had one style–we shall keep on looking. If you have any other hints or links would surely appreciate it.

Hi Sibyl, I posed the original question above. How big are your daughter’s calves? Mine are a little over 18 inches. I decided to look at one of the websites that Cece has cited before (though not mentioned here), SimplyBe. They have a brand called “Legroom” that have calf widths up to 24 inches depending on the size and width of her feet. I just got a boot, size 8EEE (an 8W basically), “Super Curvy Plus”, which measures 19.5 overall. The listings are pain to read because they show the same boots over and over again just with different foot widths/calf circumstances, but it’s ultimately worth it. Hope that helps!

Also, if you’re looking to be on the cheap… Payless has some wide-calf selections as well that I’ve decided to go and get as well! They’re not nearly as wide a selection and they’re not as roomy as the boots I got above, but if her calves are as wide as mine, it’s an option!

Maribel thanks for responding–her calves are around 22-23 inches. I just went to the Simply Be. I found the ones that are 12EEEEE they are on back order which is fine—I am going on and placing an order—I know she will love them. Thank you for sharing, you do not know how much I appreciate it.

Does your blog have a contact page? I’m having problems locating it but, I’d like to send you an email. I’ve got some ideas for your blog you might be interested in hearing. Either way, great blog and I look forward to seeing it grow over time.
