#PSPfit: This is How We do it!

I can’t belive that registration for #PSPfit (Cycle 2) opens in 48 hours (update: registration is open now, for a virtual membership click here for a NYC membership click here)… this round is going to be intense, but we’ve got professionals on board to guide us and starting the holiday season in a healthy place will be totally worth it.

Before I go into more detail on the upcoming challenge, I have to express my gratitude to everyone who supports #PSPfit. I am so happy to be able to use this website as a platform to bring fitness/nutrition coaching to us at an affordable rate, but the passion that you all have for using the #PSPfit hashtag on instagram/twitter/facebook is what brings this to life and shows people that a Plus Size Princess can be serious about her heath at any size. So, thank you, thank you, thank you!

#PSPfit also caught the attention of Lane Bryant Activewear, who encourages us to be active every day. Lane Bryant Activewear made it possible for us to film a whole new set of five minute #PSPfit fitness videos for youtube. Subscribe here to use them as they’re released! Oh, and Lane Bryant Active will have weekly gift cards for us to give away, just be sure to use “#PSPfit #LaneBryant” every time you make a healthy choice (tweet/instagram photos of your workouts and meals… have fun with it!)

Okay, now lets get into what it looks like to join the #PSPfit 30 day Pre-Thanksgiving challenge:

  • You can do #PSPfit from ANYWHERE in the world! (the challenge runs from 10/26-11/27)
  • Registration opens on 10/10/13. Once you register you will receive a preparation packet with instructions on everything from preparing your kitchen to preparing your mind for the next 30 days (join at
  • 80% of #PSPfit is what you eat. Our Nutrition Coach Abra Pappa, from Nutritious America has designed a 30 day plan full of yummy recipes and lessons on what we can eat to support Healthy Curves and help with things like PCOS. We’re going to shake things up this cycle with things like Meatless Mondays and *ahem* putting a pause on alcohol consumption.

  • For the other 20% of #PSPfit, we’ve enlisted Alex from Personal P.E.P.P.E.R to create some fitness routines just for us. We’re going to focus on strength and endurance this cycle (Anybody up for a 30 day plank challenge? *wiggles eyebrows*)

  • We want you to have a well rounded fitness program, so we’re offering you 30 Days of unlimited online yoga sessions from YogaWorks

  • We will be able to ask detailed questions in a private Facebook group with moderated by the #PSPfit professionals

  • Then we’ll check in mid-week for virtual chats with the international #PSPfit group and our nutrition coach will happen every Wednesday

One of the things I love about #PSPfit is that I’m surrounded by women who “get it”. So, we’ve enlisted five members of #PSPfit Cycle 1, to be our Cheer Squad for Cycle 2. Amanda, Brianne, Malia, Miranda and Meaghan will be in the #PSPfit timeline for support/motivation if you need it.

A 30 day challenge like this is an exciting change, but its not easy. This is the time to figure out if this is the right season for you to do something like this. I’ve always found that my best life choices happened in the spaces I was uncomfortable in. When I did new things I got new results!
