I just had a conversation with one of my “sporty” friends. I mentioned something about my nails being brittle and she quickly rattled off a list of vitamins I should take including fish oils.
Last week, someone I follow on twitter was explaining the amazing results she had when she incorporated protein supplements into her diet (she’s lost 100+ pounds).
Over the years, I’ve known people who have used supplements as part of their healthy lifestyle but it’s never something I considered. I’m not 100% comfortable walking into my local vitamin shop because I like to avoid the “hard sell” so I’ve been doing research online. I was also recently introduced to www.nutritionfix.com, a store that sells vitamins, supplements, high-protein and pre-workout mixes, etc.
As I dip my toe into the vitamin/supplement pool I think this might be a good way for me to test things out….
